Square Enix have taken the lid off the sequel to their quirky Dragon Quest spin-off on DS
Building on the ‘fight with monsters’ formula typical of the RPG series, Square Enix will be upping the ante with over 300 monsters to play with. The sequel also promises a higher level of online interactivity, as well as local multiplayer support for up to eight players to battle it out together.
The first Dragon Quest Monsters game on DS received mixed reviews but made a massive pile of cash in Japan where the Dragon Quest brand is a huge money spinner for Square Enix. The sequel will hit Japanese stores on April 28 with an Australian release likely during this year.
