It seems the DSi has given the Nintendo DS line the kick in the pants Nintendo of Japan wanted from it. Sales of the enhanced portable have now topped 500,000 sales says Famitsu.com. Originally released back on November 1 the console reached 170,000 in its first few days until it was sold out. The entire DS line has now sold 24 million in Japan. The DSi is set to launch next year in Australia, as well as the rest of the world. Source: IGN
