Nintendo Australia has confirmed for us today that the DSi Shop will be updated with new titles on a monthly basis, following in the footsteps of the Japanese store. While this means less frequent updates, it potentially means more titles to choose from when the store is updated and should prevent the sparse weekly releases that occur with the WiiWare and Virtual Console on the Wii. However it will make the wait longer, especially if none of the launch titles took your fancy. Its a double edged sword – do you get one or two titles weekly or 4 5 or even 6 a month? Perhaps when more third parties get on board and releases increase this may be changed.
