Game store managers across the nation have recently been notified that new DSi owners will receive 1000 free Nintendo points for use in the DSi Shop the first time they log into the online service. We had speculated on the free points when it was announced last week that a similar offer would be promoted in the US. The points are only redeemable via logging into the DSi Shop, and can only be used on a single DSi account. The news comes alongside confirmation that the new 1000 point Nintendo Points cards will retail for $17.95
