Capcom has today announced a new exclusive Wii game titled Spyborgs. Its arrival wasnt a complete surprise, with the name popping up over the last few months. Spyborgs puts you in the role of five bionic superspies in a fight to save the world… from villains, no less. The game is being developed by Bionic Games, if you havent heard of them before, you may have heard of what some of their team members have worked on previously. More inside.

The teams comprises of members from Insomniac Games and High Impact developers who have made Ratchet and Clank and Resistance: Fall of Man. Spyborgs will contain a 2-player Co-Op play mode to control your team, but you can also play by yourself. The game emphasises the team theme throughout, by letting you swap between different members in the troupe to tackle different challenges with each of their abilities. The games cast is a band of misfits that only work together well as team, this team theme is utilized throughout the game.

The games story will be one of tongue-in-cheek humour and one that doesnt take itself too seriously. Our goal is to maximize the potential of the innovative Wii Remote while delivering a new paradigm in cooperative game play, said Michael Haller, president, Bionic Games. We also wanted to bring a lot of humour to the game which we feel we have accomplished. This game will make you laugh for all the right reasons. The game is a while off yet, as its due for release in 2009.
