Executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo of America to leave Nintendo and the gaming industry

Cammie Dunaway, the executive Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo of America has announced that she will be leaving Nintendo of America. She has stated that she has accepted a new position outside of the video game industry and will be leaving Nintendo on October 1st.

"Im thankful for my time with Nintendo and proud of our teams accomplishments in growing the Nintendo audience," Dunaway said. "I look forward to watching the continued growth of the Nintendo brand in the years ahead." Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America had this to say about Cammies departure: "We appreciate Cammies contributions to Nintendo and the role she played in bringing the Wii and Nintendo DS experiences to millions of people. Her team and the rest of Nintendo of America remain focused on our goal of maintaining the incredible momentum Nintendo enjoys heading into the busy holiday season."

Cammie joined Nintendo in 2007 where she made one of her first public appearances at Nintendos infamous E3 2008 Press Conference, where she pretty much became an enemy of all hardcore Nintendo fans. It is unknown what her new position outside the gaming idustry is.

So what do you think? Is Cammies leaving a good thing or a bad thing? Have your say in the forums.
