Pokmon have been around for 14 years- which in the ephemeral world of children’s toy and entertainment marketing is a very long time. If your parents- as mine did- wrote off the TV show, collectibles, cards and video games as nothing but a childhood fad, then youll be interested to understand how Nintendo have kept up with milking the franchise for this long. More inside In an interview with MTV, Nintendos top sales executive Cammie Dunaway has spoken about keeping Pokemon fresh and attractive for new generations of kids: The reason Pokemon stays so vibrant is because new groups of kids are always discovering it Kids are really able to relate to this world and control and have fun in and feel like its their world.
