This weekends Sunday Herald Sun has today published a rather informative piece on the upcoming Wii. While the article reveals nothing about the console that we dont already know it has revealed two bits of information. One of which is the expected price of less then $330AU. Read more inside!
[UPDATE] We have since learned that price featured in the Herald was a direct conversion of the previously announced max price point of $250US. Therefore the Wii may indeed be more then the $330AU mentioned in the article.
Scans of the Paper can be found in the forums The first piece is that the Australia media has now had a run with the console and that there is at least one Wii here in Australia.
The second piece of information is now a target price for the Wii, the Herald says that the Wii when it launches in Australia will cost no more then $330AU, while its still not a final price its closer to not more then $250US.
We now believe that the Wii will launch in Australia at either $299 or $329 like the Gamecube was. And we are also expecting a full announcement of the date and price at the end of the week along with the other countries. Stay tu
