It was a juggernaut that just couldnt be stoppedand it had a head startbut Modern Warfare pips NSMBWii this week

Was there any stopping it? Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has topped the Aussie charts, taking the top two spots with the 360 version outselling the PS3 Version. Released on Tuesday, the game had two more days on the charts then anything else, so it was obvious it would end up on top. However, New Super Mario Bros Wii still did well in third, and even better was Cricket on Wii holding onto forth. The PC port (spits) of Modern Warfare 2 charted in 5th; so much for that boycott.

The only other interesting movements this week are Bakugan on the DS in 9th, and Wii Play in 10th—no doubt being helped by more people wanting controllers for some Mario multiplayer action.

Charts thanks to GFK.
