Atlus clears up Second Opinion rumours

For the last few days there has been a Japanese scan with information regarding “”Trauma Center: Second Opinion”" for Wii. Somewhere along the line the information contained on scan has been mistranslated/misinterpreted and some rumours have emerged about the game such as the it will just simply be a port or upgrade of the DS title Under the Knife.

Atlus has sent an email around now putting everyones fears aside and pointing out a few facts before they release a press release tomorrow with all the juicy details. To put it into a nut shell here is what the email said.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion will be a Wii launch title in North America.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion is NOT a quick-and-dirty port! It has new
graphics and animation; new surgical implements and operation types; a second playable character with new missions; multiple difficulty modes; and a revised control system that takes full advantage of the Wii Remote. It’s a remake (or “”Wii-make,”" if you prefer) with gobs of added content.
The Famitsu article didn’t discuss all of the new gameplay elements in Second Opinion; more will be revealed in the months leading up to launch.
As with Under the Knife, the voice acting in Second Opinion is presented in
the operation scenes to enhance the drama and punctuate the action–though it
should be noted there’s a lot more of it in S.O. than in UtK.

So stay tuned well have more information about Second Opinion hopefully tomorrow.
