New Super Mario Bros Wii just surpassed Super Mario Galaxy in sales
2D isnt dead yet folks, with new figures putting US sales of New Super Mario Bros Wii above Super Mario Galaxy in the US. That means NSMBWii has overtaken the sales that Galaxy took two years to get to in just under 2 months.
Its not all bad news, though, considering that there are more Wii consoles out there now compared to even just two years ago. It also has the pull of the previous sales from the DS iteration of the New Super Mario Bros series.
Galaxy is arguably considered by fans to be the better game, but the multiplayer focus and that fact that NSMBWii is a bunch of fun, too, might have put it over the top.
So, readers, Super Mario Galaxy or New Super Mario Bros Wii?
