Wii Shortages hit North American – again

No it isnt 2007, Nintendo America still cannot keep the Wii in stock

After recording breaking Christmas season in 2009 Nintendo is again finding it hard to keep the Wii in stock. Speaking to website Joystiq the company has said "In the short term, replenishing Wii inventories will be a challenge. But we are doing everything we can to satisfy consumers looking to purchase a Wii system." That was Nintendo of Americas Senior Director of Corporate Communications Charlie Scibetta who possibly has the longest title in the world.

While we could just assume this is a simple shortage of Wii consoles to go around, the cynic in me asks is Nintendo clearing the channels for some new hardware perhaps? No? Oh well.
