98% of public consultation submissions were in support of it , but politicians arent so sure

Australia’s Attorney-Generals today held a meeting to discuss (among other things) the R18+ rating for Australia. The ministers were no doubt obliged to consider the results of the public consultation that showed 98% of respondents were for a R18+ rating (over 58,589 whereas only 1089 were opposed). Minister for Home Affairs Brendan OConnor said that "Censorship ministers have not yet made a decision on whether or not an R-18+ classification for computer games should be introduced and have requested further analysis of community and expert views." citing that "It is also the strength of the arguments on each side” has caused the ministers to take this action.

Really guys? How much more ‘further analysis’ do you need to do. Oh that’s right it’s an election year, nevermind!
