The classic Contra franchise is being brought out of the cupboard for another whirl.
A new installment in the Contra series has been announced for WiiWare, and is slated for release in Japan on May 12th. Titled Contra Rebirth, it will play much like many of the early games in the series, and will also include the cooperative play featured in most Contra games as well (Maybe the Konami Code will also make a comeback here?).
The game has a classic style much like Mega Man 9 did. Contra Rebirth will be available for 1000 Wii Points.
