The creators of the The Conduit announce their next new IP, a online co-op first person shooter. Yeah – its on the Wii

With the E3 just one week away, the announcement of new games has already stepped up with developers High Voltage today announcing another new IP for the Wii. The game which is a first person shooter is built on an updated version of the Quantum3 engine which The Conduit and Gladiator AD run on. The game will put you in the role of one of four characters as you tackle a world where vampires, the undead and the like have taken over… and you’re a freelance bounty hunter whose job it is to put a stop this monster havoc.

The game is different from most Wii games though, as the entire story campaign is online and played cooperatively with up to four people. That’s right, an online co-operative campaign on the Wii, High Voltage is really stepping it up with the graphics also better than that of The Conduit.

There are four characters to choose from including a doctor, a former professional bounty hunter, a sorority girl and a Japanese assassin. Each character is unique and Motion Plus support is said to be included. Also included are some RPG elements such as leveling up and character upgrades – to what extent, though, remains to be seen.

The game is still a while off yet, and doesn’t yet have a publisher – but High Voltage is aiming for a 2010 Christmas release.
